Places Outside of New Jersey
We have city directories for other places
in the United State on microfilm and on microfiche.
The city directories in this grouping are compiled from
two collections.
The microfiche collection comprises the material outlined
by Dorothea N. Spear in her book, Bibliography of American
Directories through 1860 (Worcester, MA: American Antiquarian
Society, 1961).
Our microfilm set covers the years 1861 thru 1881.
We also have web pages listing of our out-of-state city
directories.
This list is to be used as a general guide to what may
be available. Not every year is represented. In addition,
more directories are available at the library on AncestryPlus.com
and Heritage Quest Online.
