New Jersey State Library

Materials not owned by the State Library can often be borrowed from other New Jersey libraries through interlibrary loan (ILL).

The State Library will only provide this service for New Jersey residents who have a State Library card .

All others should contact their local public libraries for interlibrary loan services.

We will place ILL requests for books and journal articles with libraries in New Jersey. We will only obtain materials for which there is no charge. There is a 3 item limit.

Materials must be picked up and returned at the New Jersey State Library, 185 W. State St., Trenton, N.J.

Borrowers are responsible for returning materials on time.
