
Library Network NewsNews ItemJun 29, 2010Seminar: Art of LongevityThe Bloomfield Public Library is pleased to present a series of Health related seminars in the Library’s Conference Room. At 7pm, on Wednesday, August 11, the topic will be The Art of Longevity. Angel Duncan of Senior Helpers will discuss the research regarding healthy aging. She’ll talk about negating aging perceptions and how to find empowerment. Become a creative thinker and alter the new you! Future topics in this series will be Taking care of the Caregiver on September 8 and Creating Connections (communicating with loved ones who have Dementia) on October 13. Angel C. Duncan is the Program Director for Senior Helpers. She has an extensive background in adult psychiatry and Alzheimer’s disease. She directed a national art therapy program for people with dementia, and has supervised caregiver support groups in the Northern California region.
