
Library Network NewsNews ItemJun 29, 2010Seminar: Taking Care of the CaregiverThe Bloomfield Public Library is pleased to present a series of Health related seminars in the Library’s Conference Room. At 7pm, on Wednesday, September 8, the topic will be Taking Care of the Caregiver. Angel Duncan of Senior Helpers, will discuss the types of caregiving and the stress this produces. She’ll also talk about ways to find strength and empowerment. The next topic in this seminar series will presented on October 13, Creating Connections (communicating with loved ones who have Dementia). Angel C. Duncan is the Program Director for Senior Helpers. She has an extensive background in adult psychiatry and Alzheimer’s disease. She directed a national art therapy program for people with dementia, and has supervised caregiver support groups in the Northern California region.
