Literacy Kits / Conference
Verizon donation to New Jersey State Library funds literacy training kits June 16 - Librarians from across the state convened at the Monmouth County Public Library in Manalapan to participate in the first-ever statewide Literacy Conference. In addition to participating in a full day forum, 100 librarians will receive an Every Child Ready to Read early literacy training kit. The kits are valued at over $300 and were purchased with funds provided by Verizon-NJ, the Verizon Foundation, and the Verizon Telecom Pioneers.
