Coordinating, promoting and funding the New Jersey Library Network

In 1983 New Jersey librarians worked with the New Jersey Legislature to enact a law that created the New Jersey Library Network as a way for libraries to provide all New Jersey residents with full and equal access to library materials and programs that might not otherwise be available in their communities. The premise was that such cooperation would improve services while also controlling the costs for participating libraries.
