The total municipal support during 2009 is divided by the 2008 Equalized
Valuation in calculating the per capita aid to be paid in October 2010.
Based on the 2008 Equalized Valuation for your municipality
( $2,199,023,854), the minimum municipal support needed:
To earn $.50 per capita is $23,975
To earn $.75 per capita is $439,805
To earn $1.00 per capita is $549,756

Valuation in calculating the per capita aid to be paid in October 2010.
Based on the 2008 Equalized Valuation for your municipality

To earn $.50 per capita is $12,308

With the publication of the Certification of the Table of Equalized Valuation
for 2008 in October 2008, each library can determine the amount of municipal
support necessary during 2009 to achieve particular per capita state library
aid categories ($.50 to $1.50). The support can include dedicated tax
payments in those counties where the municipality contributes to the
support of a county library system, expenses incurred by the municipality in
support of the public library not specifically appropriated to the
library, and the budgeted appropriation.
The total municipal support during 2009 is divided by the 2008 Equalized
Valuation in calculating the per capita aid to be paid in October 2010.
Based on the 2008 Equalized Valuation for your municipality
( $378,673,442), the minimum municipal support needed:
To earn $.50 per capita is $1,348
To earn $.75 per capita is $75,735
To earn $1.00 per capita is $94,668
To earn $1.25 per capita is $126,224
To earn $1.50 per capita is $189,337
The 1/3 mil funding level is $1.25. The alternate minimum for municipal
libraries is prior year 1/3 mill plus 15%, ( $144,158), and will
earn $1.25 per capita.
It is not possible for the State Library to estimate the apportionment
of per capita aid for those libraries which are members of a county
library. The additional amounts expended by the county library which are
credited to the member municipalities in their total expenses also cannot
be calculated as it varies from year to year.
