New Jersey State Library

Scope: Any Network member library may contact Lending Services for photo-copy or to borrow general circulating materials owned by the State Library.

Costs: Interlibrary loan: no cost.
Photocopy charges may vary according to the type of material being copied. In general, the first 20 exposures per item are free. Subsequent exposures are $.15 each, although the State Library will not ordinarily bill for less than $3.00.

Placing a request

Requests may be placed to the State Library in these ways:
  • By using the OCLC ILL subsystem;
  • By sending an ALA form;
  • By sending a resuest by mail, phone, fax or email;
  • By placing a request via JerseyCAT
  • By referring "rush" requests by phone or fax;
  • Requests to special collections may be made directly by phone, fax, mail, or email.
Give your library's name and Region. If using OCLC, include the Region number on the "Patron Name" line. Give all relevant information, including the user's deadline and the maximum cost you (or the user) are willing to pay.
