Interlibrary Loan

Newark Public Library

Scope: Interlibrary loan and photocopy of materials held by Newark Public Library.

Costs: Interlibrary loan: No charge.
Photocopy: first 20 exposures per article free.
For-profit libraries: a total of 10 transactions, including ILL and photocopy, free each year. Requests should be made following the procedure for Network members. Companies having deposit accounts may phone requests, but will be charged the usual non-member fee.

Placing a request

Requests may be placed to Newark in the following ways:
  • By using JerseyCat
  • By using the OCLC ILL subsystem;
  • By calling the Access Center if you are not an OCLC member;
  • By sending an ALA form via fax, COMET, or mail.
"Rush" requests accepted by phone or fax; please stipulate that request is a "rush."

Requests for foreign language materials and U.S. patents will be accepted directly from any Network member.

Give your library's name and Region. If using OCLC, include the Region on the "Patron Name" line.

Give all relevant information, including user's deadline and the maximum cost you (or the user) are willing to pay.
