Rutgers University Libraries

Scope: Interlibrary loan and photocopy of materials held by the Rutgers University Libraries. To find out whether Rutgers owns the material you need, see Searching Rutgers University Libraries' Holdings.

Costs:
Interlibrary loan: no charge to nonprofit Network member libraries. Phone requests: $15.00 minimum per transaction.
Photocopy: First 50 exposures free to nonprofit Network member libraries. Phone requests: $25.00 minimum per transaction.
Libraries in for-profit Network member organizations will receive a total of 10 ILL and photocopy transactions free of charge.

Placing a request

Requests may be placed to Rutgers in the following ways:
  • By using the OCLC or RLIN ILL subsystem;
  • By calling the Access Center if you are not an OCLC member;
  • By sending an ALA form (1 request per form);
  • By referring "rush" requests by phone;
  • By fax (1 request per form or letterhead).
Note: There is a minimum charge of $15.00 for all phoned ILL requests and $25.00 for all phoned photocopy requests.

Give your library's name and Region. If using OCLC, include the Region on the "Patron Name" line. Give all relevant information, including user's deadline and the maximum cost you (or the user) are willing to pay.
