District 2 The Institute of Museum and Library Services is a federal agency that administers the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) by annually awarding grants to State Library agencies who distribute LSTA funds within their states. LSTA's priorities are to improve electronic linkages for libraries and to target services to persons having difficulty using a library. Each year the New Jersey State Library receives approximately $3.8 million in LSTA funding. LSTA Grants Awarded in New Jersey: Congressional District 2FY 2002 Gloucester County Library. English language skills program for immigrants including conversation groups, library materials. Atlantic County Library. New Jersey Union List of Serials (Web Version). $15,000. Library mounted latest version of NJULS on its web based online catalog making the List available to all libraries in the state. Atlantic County Library. Public Library Information Kiosk. $45,000. Kiosk installed in a Egg Harbor supermarket to prove library services seven days a week to an underserved community. Bridgeton Free Public Library. Services to Special Populations. $10,000. Outreach program to Hispanic community through programming and purchase of Spanish and ESL materials. Cumberland County Library. Public Library Information Kiosk. $45,000. Kiosk installed in a shopping mall open 60 hours a week which aims at reaching people who would not consider entering a traditional library building. Gloucester County Library.
