Mound City Cemetery, Illinois.

This Cemetery is situated on the north bank of the Ohio River, about six miles east of Cairo, and one-half mile from Mound City, Ill. It contains the remains of Union Soldiers who died in General Hospitals in Mound City, and were originally interred in the Old Cemetery, Mound City, as well as those collected from Cairo, Belmont, Paducah, Columbus, and from different points in Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri.
