BURIAL RECORD OF NEW JERSEY SOLDIERS.

National Cemetery, Newbern, North Carolina.

This Cemetery is situated about one mile north of the railway station at Newbern, and fronts east on the Johnson Creek road. It contains the remains of Union Soldiers originally interred at Newbern, Beaufort, Morehead City, Kingston, Hatteras, Roanoke Island, and many other places along the coast of North Carolina.

It contains the remains of such Union Soldiers who died at Raleigh and vicinity, and of those who were originally buried at Goldsboro, Averysborough, Bentonsville, Greensborough, Henderson, Franklinton, Smithville and other places in North Carolina.
