Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

There is no National Cemetery in or near Philadelphia. Those who died in the General Hospitals and Camps in and around the city are buried in lots set apart for this purpose in the different local cemeteries in the vicinity, principally in Glenwood, Odd Fellows', Mount Moriah, Woodland and Lebanon Cemeteries. These lots were afterward either donated to or purchased by the United States Government, and are cared for the same as National Cemeteries. Quite a number of those included in the following list, who are shown in the Roster as being buried here, have since its preparation been removed by friends, and are so noted.
