Using the library catalog:

For a narrower search (yields less results, but likely to be more relevant), use Subject Keywords; for a broader search (yields more results, but possibly less relevant), use General Keyword search. Use a Title Keyword search if you want your search to be very specific. If you know the exact title of the book you are looking for, use a Title Browse search. Not finding any results?…try the General Keyword search function.

III. Electronic Databases: subject listing and title listing

Use electronic databases to locate journal articles. To use the electronic resources remotely, you must be a New Jersey State employee or a Thomas Edison State College staff member or student. Anyone may use the databases from within the New Jersey State Library.

To get help with finding appropriate keywords, many of the health databases have a thesaurus, subject headings directory, or dictionary.
