- Web site for patients and research professionals. Lists clinical trials by medical area; has a notification service to inform you when a new trial is added, has background information on clinical research and profiles of centers that conduct it. The Drug Directories section lists drug therapies newly approved by the FDA.
- Genetics Home Reference
- The National Library of Medicine site designed to help consumers with research into genetic disorders. Search for diseases by name of the genetic condition, by gene or by chromosome. A section on newborn screening is available. The site also has a lot of helpful information about the science and terminology of genetics.
- Hardin Meta Directory of Internet Health Sources

- Produced by the University Libraries of the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), this site has sections on health and wellness, health in New Jersey, diseases and conditions, along with reference materials.
- Household Products Database
- The National Library of Medicine database provides detailed health and safety information on household products and ingredients. MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) are also available. Household products include auto products, lawn products, pet products, art/crafts products, and cosmetics.

- A network of physician educators dedicated to providing quality medical information for the public. Includes diseases and conditions, a medical dictionary, symptom information, medication information, and medical news.
- MedlinePlus
- A comprehensive consumer health web site provided by the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. Sections of this site include Health Topics, Drug Information, Medical Encyclopedia (illustrated), Dictionary, News, Directories, Interactive Health Tutorials and Surgery Videos. The site is also available in Spanish. A highly praised resource.

- Detailed, professional level, medical information. Search by keyword, alphabetical index, section, or symptom.
- The On-line Medical Dictionary
- A searchable medical and scientific dictionary published by the Centre for Cancer Education, Newcastle University in the U.K.
- PubMed
- Provided by the National Library of Medicine (NLM), this premier database provides free access to MEDLINE, NLM's database of citations and abstracts in the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, healthcare systems, and preclinical sciences. PubMed has over 17 million citations, and includes publications dating back to 1950.
