- Agency Index Doc-Law Web
- Simple and consistent linkage to agencies' homepage, publications, organizational charts, electronic forms and administrative decisions. Created by the Washburn University School of Law Library and includes access to their complete web-site.
- Ben's Guide to U.S. Government for Kids
- Good overall starting point for U. S. government information. This site provides learning tools for K-12 students, parents, teachers, and citizens. These resources will teach how our government works, the use of the primary source materials of GPO Access, and how to use these sources to carry out civic responsibilities. Also provides a kid's eye view of various government resources.
- DisabilityInfo.gov
- Access to information on employment, education, health, civil rights and more for persons with disabilities and those working with them.
- Documents Center (University of Michigan)
- Central reference and referral point for government information: local, state, federal, foreign, and international. Its Web Site Directory is clustered by broad topics such as foreign or statistics.
- eGov
- Cross-agency web portals and services for common customer groups such as citizens, businesses, and governments.
- Federal Government Agencies Directory - LSU
- Index of U. S. federal government agencies as found in the U.S. Government Manual. Covers executive, judicial, legislative, independent, commissions, and quasi-official agencies. Searchable by keyword index.
- (Federal Acquisition) Virtual Library
- Provides links to numerous other federal acquisition resources on the Internet. The links are arranged by category.
- Federal Web Locator
- Outstanding federal web locator maintained by Center for Information Law and Policy. Includes quasi-government organizations and international agencies.
- FedStats- One Stop Shopping
- Over 100 agency sites with subject indexes. The Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy maintains this site to provide easy access to the statistics and information produced by these agencies.
- FedWorld Information Network Home Page
- National Technical Information Service gateway to many federal databases. Searchable keyword index as well as browsable databases.
- FirstGov
- Official gateway to federal government websites providing both keyword and topical access. Includes online service and information gateways for specific customer groups such as citizens, business, and governments. Also provides access to state and local and international governments and information.
- Frequently Used Sites - US Government Information
- Excellent starting point. Indexes both federal and international sites by broad subject including some current topics such as Iraq and SARS. Includes brief descriptions of the data at each site.
- Google Unclesam
- Specialized search engine restricted to U. S. Government sites. Includes searches of PDF files and provides cached links for pages no longer available.
- Government Periodicals
- University of Louisville Ekstrom Library's alphabetical guide to electronic periodicals.
- GPO ACCESS
- Government Printing Office access point to electronic government information products, federal web sites, locating and or purchasing government information products, and locating federal depository libraries. A good starting point is their A-Z Resource List. It includes access by branch of government and topics as well as the capacity to search multiple databases.

- Mapping the Internet Electronic Resources Virtual Archive from the Library of Congress.
- Science.gov
- Gateway to authoritative selected U.S. Government agency science web sites including research and development results.
- SciTechResources.gov
- Companion web site providing a catalog of government science and technology web sites.
- Statistical Resources on the Web
- University of Michigan locator service for statistical sites on the Web. Break-outs by extensive subjects as well as search capability.
- Wayback Machine
- A digital library by the Internet Archive of selected pages as they were back to 1996. Includes election coverage and September 11, 2001. Searchable by URL or selected topics.
- White House Home Page
- Access to the President, Vice President, and White House information. Your Government allows both searching and direct access by federal agency. News & Policies has news and expanded information about presidental policies and efforts. History & Tours provides history and virtual tours of the White House as well as historical information and biographies relating to former whitehouse occupants. Includes Whitehousekids link.
