Grow NJ Business Strong Workshops Get Strong Response from Business Owners

The NJ State Library has organized a series of free breakfast workshops for the NJ business community at libraries across the state. Workshops have been held at the Somerset County Library headquarters in Bridgewater, with Maria Semple, Principal of The Prospect Finder (photo below left) , teaching the workshop to a packed meeting room; the Hasbrouck Heights Library, taught by Lorrie Ng (photo right), also had a capacity audience; and at the Burlington County Library Westampton Branch with Carolinn Pocher Woody (bottom photo left) of Creative Communications.

Highlighting Library Resources to Job Seeking Veterans

Representatives of the New Jersey State Library and the Mercer County Library System were on hand to explain and demonstrate online library resources and classes available to job seekers through the library at the Hiring Our Heroes job and coaching fair held at Rider University’s Student Recreation Center, Lawrenceville, on Thursday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Over 55 employers and service providers packed American Legion Stevenson-D’Alessio Post 12, 232 Union Ave., Somerville, on Thursday, February 21, 2013, for New Jersey's ninth Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) job and coaching fair, and they were not disappointed with the turn-out of veteran job seekers, totaling over 150.
