Visitors to the library have access to a wide variety of electronic databases; however, remote access to subscription databases is restricted to State Library authorized users: state employees and, unless otherwise noted, Thomas Edison staff and students. Authorized users needing a State Library access card, should complete the appropriate online registration form.

New Jersey residents should use JerseyClicks to access databases licensed  for statewide use.

Transmission or reproduction of items beyond that permitted by fair use requires the permission of the copyright owners. It is the user's responsibility to determine and comply with all restrictions based upon the intended use of the materials.  All users are expected to respect the intellectual property rights of licensed material. NJPUBLICNOTICES.COM offers access 24 hours a day, seven days a week to local, county, and statewide public notices placed by governments and ordered by courts all over N.J. These include public notices legally required to be published about foreclosures, hearings, procurement of bids, financial reports, ordinances and other government activities.  It contains legal notices from 2002- present and is provided by the New Jersey Press Association.

Covers almost a thousand occupations with titles and codes based on the Standard Occupational Classification system. Includes occupational snapshots and details as well as related occupations.

OmniFile Full Text Select

A multidisciplinary database providing full text articles. Coverage includes agriculture, applied sciences, art, biology, business, education, humanities, law, library and information science, social sciences and technology.Coverage begins in 1994.

PrivCo focuses on tracking private company financial data, private market deals and private investor profiles.  There is coverage of over 940,000 privately-held companies worldwide, over 20,000 investor profiles and over 150,000 private transactions (VC funding, M&A and PE deals). This database offers a wide variety of information on small business and entrepreneurial subject areas, common business types, a help and advice section, and provides information on how to create business plans that lead to successful funding.  It offers a collection of state-specific resources supported with demographic data and other local information. USA Trade Online, published by the Census Bureaus Foreign Trade Division, is the official source of current and cumulative U.S. export and import statistics on more than 9,000 export commodities and 17,000 import commodities worldwide. USA Trade Online provides trade statistics using the Harmonized System (HS) up to the 10-digit level and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) commodity classification codes up to the 6-digit level.Requires username and password for access.
