The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) in the U.S. Library of Congress has released BARD Express, a new piece of intuitive software that expedites & simplifies downloading books from the Braille and Audio Reading Download site, known as BARD. The New Jersey State Library Talking Book & Braille Center (TBBC) says three cheers for BARD Express!

BARD Express offers a streamlined process to download books from your Windows personal computer to a USB device. In the past, the downloading process was cumbersome for many BARD users.  Thanks to BARD Express, the process is easier and more intuitive.

The BARD Express software was designed and donated to NLS by Kirk Saathoff, a software developer and family member of two NLS members. It is available to all TBBC members. For more information, call TBBC at 800-792-8322.
