The Handheld Librarian Online Conference occurred today. The conference looked at handheld devices and remotely accessible library services, e-books, social networking and more. There were two keynote addresses and a number of different breakout sessions in four tracks. Just some of the breakout session titles were “Everything We Know About Implementing a Kindle Loan Program,” “Twittering in Libraries” and “Current Mobile Trends in Libraries.” A couple times during the morning, the Conference was in the top ten trending topics on Twitter.
