  • Audiovision is the 24/7 radio reading service of the New Jersey State Talking Book and Braille Center (TBBC) available to New Jersey residents who are unable to read standard print because of a physical impairment, a reading disability or a vision challenge. Audiovision is broadcast on digital TV, on cable (Comcast & Verizon FIOS), and live on the internet. An on-demand audio podcast service is available.
  • Audiovision bridges the gap between the print media and people with print impairments by providing audio access to news, special interest programs, and emergency alerts via TV and the Internet. Coverage includes many national newspapers and other programming including cooking, health, disability news, literature, politics, sports, travel and more.
  • Material read is the property of the original copyright holder. No unauthorized use is permitted.

Volunteer for Audiovision at the New Jersey State Library Talking Book and Braille Center:

Volunteers are the life blood of our organization serving as Audiovision narrators and technicians for on-site book recording. After an interview and audition, narrators are assigned a book to record for one hour each week until completion of its recording (approximately six to eight weeks). Volunteer recording technicians train with an experiences technician, then monitor book recordings throughout the project. There are also occasional opportunities to volunteer as sighted guides for our library events and clerical staff. If you would like to volunteer, call (800)792-8322 Ext. 806 or email kcarson@njstatelib.org. Thank you for your interest!
