Good news! Resetting your BARD password has now become even easier! All BARD users can now reset their own passwords through the BARD website.
In the past, only users with security questions set up in the BARD settings were able to reset their own passwords without help from their network library. Additionally, instead of being sent a temporary password, which could be difficult to copy and paste or input, BARD will now send you a link – simply click to follow and set your new password.
If you’re interested in learning more about BARD, NLS has a new patron program called The Many Faces of BARD. These hour-long programs will be held over Zoom on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. eastern time.
Each program will start with a brief presentation, followed by a Q&A session about the presentation, and BARD related questions for the remainder of the hour. At the end of each program, next month’s topic will be revealed.
The sessions are open to all patrons. To participate by phone, call 1-669-254-5252. Patrons with internet access can join via Zoom. No registration is necessary, simply click the link to attend.
Recordings of past sessions and more information about accessing via zoom is available at https://www.loc.gov/nls/about/services/many-faces-of-bard/.
