Successful Gardening

May 16, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

It’s spring and your fancy turns to gardens!  Dreaming of creating a green oasis, or just want to spruce up your outdoor space?  Join Nora Sirbaugh, a Rutgers Master Gardener in Mercer County since 2000, to learn how to improve the odds of having a rewarding garden in 2018. The talk will touch on the importance of soil, compost and fertilizing along with plant placement. There is also a small segment on the gardening tools to use. Be sure you already have some of basic tools or you can get them online from BestofMachinery. If you have something lying around but is unusable, it is recommended to get one from your local hardware shops.

Rutgers Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who assist the Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station (NJAES) Cooperative Extension in its mission to deliver horticulture programs and information to the general public.
