WEBINAR – Sports Safety
September 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Millions of adults and children engage in sports every year, with some suffering brain injuries. In fact, each year, between 1.7 and 3.3 million sports- and recreation-related concussions happen each year according to the University of Pittsburg Medical Center. In addition, 2 in 10 high school athletes will suffer a concussion each year. Sports safety, especially as it relates to children, is an important topic so please join us as Kim Myers from the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey discusses the importance of helmet and wheeled sport safety and the prevention of sports-related concussions. This workshop aims to empower children and families to make informed decisions and protect their brains during various activities and sports.
