What is the DA2 Player
The DA2 is the newest talking book player from the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), and it is now available to eligible TBBC patrons. This next-generation device offers several major upgrades, including:
- Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for downloading books directly from the internet and using wireless headphones
- 28 GB of internal storage
- Support for all current formats, including NLS cartridges and USB drives

How to use the DA2 Player
Patrons can connect the DA2 to the Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) service from the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled to browse, download, and manage books directly on the player.
The DA2 is especially helpful for patrons who want to take advantage of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth capabilities. For those who don’t wish to use these upgrades, TBBC continues to have an audiobook player without these upgrades.

How to request a DA2 Player
To request a DA2, please contact TBBC at (800) 792-8322 ext. 0 or email TBBC@njstatelib.org.
