JerseyConnect Verizon Updates for 2025

The JerseyConnect team would like to make you aware of two important changes to the Verizon contract that is created through the E-rate process.

JerseyConnect with the assistance of Funds for Learning, has renewed the Verizon master agreement for another three years starting July 1, 2025 through June 30^th, 2028.  While we are waiting on final signatures, the participation agreement (PA) has been posted to the JerseyConnect website.

New this contract cycle is a section in the PA that allows libraries to add JerseyConnect staff members as contacts for their accounts. Moving forward, Verizon will require this if a participating library would like JerseyConnect staff members to assist them with contract and billing related issues. Without adding JerseyConnect staff to your PA agreement, we will be unable to assist in these areas. If you would like our team members to be added to your agreement, please contact us at: netops@jerseyconnect.net.

The second change relates to participating library account teams and escalation points of contact. Verizon has provided us with an escalation document and contacts. You should continue to work with your current account representative and use this document for escalation issues only. This document will also be posted on the JerseyConnect website.

We would also like to remind you that we continue to offer managed Wi-Fi hardware and licenses through the E-rate process as well. Each year the vendor, CoreBTS, provides updated pricing that is also posted on the JerseyConnect website.

For those of you that file for E-rate but do not use Funds for Learning (which JerseyConnect customers can use for free), below are the 470 numbers.

One final message, libraries that do not utilize E-rate can still use these contracts to connect to our network through Verizon or to purchase managed Wi-Fi hardware and licenses.
