Multicultural Program Award

The New Jersey State Library is accepting applications for the Multicultural Program Award. The award honors outstanding library programs that increase understanding and promote multiculturalism through creative and sustainable cultural programming.  The focus will be on public libraries for this first year. Programs offered within the last two years preceding the award application deadline shall be eligible to receive the award.


The award provides a $1,000 honorarium, a certificate and the promotion of the winning library as a model program for other libraries. Two libraries will be honored during the NJLA conference, June 2-4, 2014 in Atlantic City. 

Please email the application form and supporting materials to Mimi Lee at by Monday, April 7, 2014. The winning libraries will be notified by Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
