NJSL 2018 Literacy Boot Camp – Registration Open!

The New Jersey State Library, in partnership with Plainfield Public Library, is happy to present the second Literacy Boot Camp in 2018!

There is no cost for participating. It is offered at a first-come, first-served basis with a priority given to librarians and library staff who did not participate in the previous boot camp. It is limited to 25 people; 1 participant per library organization.

The primary goal for NJSL Literacy Boot Camp is to provide New Jersey librarians and library staff with skills and tools necessary to develop library-based adult literacy programs that meet the needs of their communities. This is an intensive, five, half-day learning series that includes community needs assessment, data use for planning, curriculum design, recruiting and training tutors, advertising and management.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, March 9, 2018.
