A New Career Navigation Tool for Students

Please help the New Jersey State Library spread the word about the New Jersey Career Assistance Navigator (NJCAN), a free web-based career navigation system, funded by the New Jersey Department of Education, that provides comprehensive information for middle and high school students to develop well informed college and career plans. It includes tools that encourage self-assessment, career and post-secondary education exploration, goal setting, and decision making. The site helps students make informed decisions about their future based on relevant actionable information.

While schools are able to set up portfolio accounts with additional features for their students, any New Jersey resident may make use of many features and resources. A brochure with additional information about what NJCAN can do is available here: https://www.njstatelib.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/NJCAN-Current-Brochure-002.docx

Visit https://portal.njcis.intocareers.org/ and click on the New Jersey Residents tab to get started.

For more information, you can contact Joanne Hamza, NJCAN Statewide Trainer & Project Coordinator: njcantraining@gmail.com

We are gauging interest in a webinar about NJCAN specifically for public and school libraries. If you are interested, please email Nayomi Torres-Velez (ntorresvelez@njstatelib.org) to add your name to the list.
