Session 2: Management and Deployment

Description: This session is intended to help you learn how to deploy Apple devices (iPads or Macs) as part of the library operation. This may involve loaning iPads to patrons within the library, or the use of Macs as public-access terminals. Before you can consider deploying these products, you will need answers to issues around security and management. The session will focus on tools and technologies that can be used to better secure and control the use of Apple devices in libraries. You will learn the capabilities of Apple Configurator, Mobile Device Management, and Apple Business Manager in creating a simple and efficient management workflow. EnvisionWare: This session will also include a brief demonstration by EnvisionWare on how you can effectively and efficiently manage your Mac computers and library printers. Presenters: Michael Mills, Apple and Zac Martin, Envisionware
