Join us for an outdoor Fiber Bombing on Oct. 4, 12-3pm

The New Jersey State Library and BSB Gallery will host an outdoor Fiber Bombing on Friday October 4, 2019 from 12-3 p.m. in front of the State Library.

Fiber Bombing is a type of public art in which yarn and other fiber materials (fabrics, paper), which are non-destructive and non-permanent are used to decorate outdoor public structures.

Come join us to make small, fiber based creations which will adorn a tree at the State Library!  Crafters are also welcome to bring their own creations already assembled to be displayed.  The tree will remain decorated for two weeks.

A larger Fiber Bombing will be hosted by BSB Gallery on Saturday October 5th in Mill Hill Park from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.  Individuals and groups wishing to decorate a tree in Mill Hill Park may register for the event online.

BSB Gallery is also seeking donations of yarn, fabric, or ribbons for the October 5th event.  If you’re looking to clear out your stash, donation boxes will be available at the State Library on October 4th.

The State Library Fiber Bombing will take place on October 4th. Check out the flyer for the BSB Gallery event, happening the day after the State Library’s event (October 5th):
