Ready To Work New Jersey

The Ready to Work New Jersey (RTWNJ) program is run by the NJ Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development on behalf of New Jersey’s 19 community colleges in partnership with other organizations. Funded with state and federal grants, the program provides training and job development services, and on-the-job training for the long-term unemployed and underemployed in New Jersey and matches them with employers who need their skills. The program gives preference to unemployed military veterans. The program is also designed to help the incumbents who seek training to advance their careers with their current employers.

If you are a long-term job seeker looking for steady employment or if your company is searching for people to hire with specific skills, Ready to Work New Jersey is designed with you in mind. The program connects the long-term unemployed who have marketable skills with employers who need those skills.

Ready to Work New Jersey provides counseling, skills training, networking and other resources for job seekers, and it offers subsidized, on-the-job training of job candidates for participating employers.
