TBBC’s Winter Reading Challenge “Chilly Chapters”, will run from January 8, 2024 to March 1, 2024 and is for adults age 18+ registered with the NJSL Talking Book & Braille Center (TBBC). If you do not have a TBBC account APPLY HERE or call (800) 792-8322. The prize drawing will occur on Friday, March 15, 2024. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email.

Registration for “Chilly Chapters” is FREE and open from November 15th until December 15, 2023. To register CALL Liz Kelly at (800) 792-8322 ext. 805 or email lkelly@njstatelib.org. The first 50 patrons to register will receive a special winter hat!

After you register for “Chilly Chapters”, you will receive a packet in the mail with the challenge rules. The packet will also include book lists created by library staff members and a Reading Log so you can keep track of the books you read. In addition, the first 50 people to register will receive the special winter hat.

This year’s prize:  A Fire HD 10 tablet, 10.1″, 1080p Full HD, 32 GB, black, without lock screen ads

Submit your completed Reading Log by March 1st, 2024 to be entered in the prize drawing. The five readers with the most books read will receive 3 entries each into the prize drawing. All other participants who submit a Reading Log with at least one book, will receive one entry. There are several options for submitting your Reading Log:

• Email – send a photo or scan of your completed Reading Log to lkelly@njstatelib.org or TBBC@njstatelib.org
• Email – simply email a list of the books read to lkelly@njstatelib.org or TBBC@njstatelib.org
• Mail – if you are mailing in your reading log, remember to include a stamp, write your name on it, and make sure it is postmarked by March 1st. 
• Phone – call TBBC at 800-792-8322 x 0 to give the list of books you have read to a Readers Advisor
