Collection
The Test Book Collection consists of study guides for a wide range of civil service job titles. Test books are purchased to assist applicants seeking employment in government at the local, county, state and federal level. While the test books are not specific to New Jersey civil service job titles, those taking New Jersey civil service exams find them helpful. The collection also contains a small number of test preparation books for college, graduate school, career certification and military exams. The State Library has approximately 1200 books in this collection.
Collection Policy
Test books may be borrowed for two weeks by State Library registered borrowers, who may check out up to five test books at a time. We do not circulate our test books to other libraries. The collection is available in print with a limited number of books available electronically through eLibraryNJ, and is mostly in English. Popular titles are purchased in multiple copies.
