How does JerseyClicks work?
JerseyClicks is a federally funded program (via the Library Services and Technology Act) created by the New Jersey State Library to give database access to NJ residents and Libraries. A commission decides on which databases to contract every 3 years and the state library staff works to help librarians in the state maintain access to the databases via training, marketing and troubleshooting services.
We forgot our password to a database, how do we reset it?
Many of the resources provided through JerseyClicks use automatic forms of authentification such as Geolocation, IP Address or custom links. If you use User & Password authentification and have run into an issue, feel free to reach out in the contact form above.
What is geolocation?
Geolocation is a method of authentification that uses the users location services to confirm they are within the state of NJ and thus able to access the database. It is a convenient method of authentification for users and available on most databases we offer.
Is HeritageQuest available for my patrons from home?
Yes, HeritageQuest can be accessed remotely by library patrons who are within New Jersey.
Is a particular database available for my library / Which resources will be renewed or ended?
All offerings made through the JerseyClicks program are listed in the database section above. Any changes to this list are decided on a 3-year schedule and are posted in the news section, as well as through the state library’s email list.
How do I access statistics for a certain database for my institution?
Some databases offer statistics through the library’s account, while others are only available to the State Library. For more information, please fill out the contact form above.
