New Jersey Makers Day 2019

NJ Makers Day is a celebration of all things “Making” at libraries all throughout New Jersey.  From science experiments, to computers, to arts and crafts, NJ Makers Day aims connect people from all walks of life through the fun and learning of making and creativity.  Please join the NJ State Library on Friday, March 22 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm for this year’s Makers Day and take part in any or all of the following events:

  • Make Your Own Donuts
  • Virtual Reality
  • Seed Bombs
  • Origami Bookmarks
  • Spice Rubs
  • Adult Coloring Books
  • Make Your Own Buttons
  • Popsicle Stick Shelf (take-home project)

Come and get inspired from the event.  We will have a display of hand-selected books related to making and crafting that will be available for check out.

The goal of establishing NJ Makers Day is to enhance community engagement and develop connections among New Jersey residents by collaborating with multi-type libraries, museums, small businesses and others to promote and explore new opportunities for entrepreneurship, innovation and hands-on learning experiences.
