Volunteer at the Talking Book & Braille Center
The New Jersey State Library Talking Book & Braille Center (TBBC) is always looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks.
Volunteering is a noble act of giving your time and services to another person or organization without the expectation of reward.
Volunteer opportunities include (18+):
These two opportunities are immediate assignments and perfect for an organization’s Day of Caring project, a college group volunteering project or any group or individual willing to help out until the project is complete.
- Removing labels off of a (4” x 6”) plastic containers.
- Peeling of old and applying new labels to a (2″ x 3”) cartridge.
These opportunities are ongoing:
- Clerical support, data entry, scanning and assemble postal mailings.
- Two Offsite Events:
- Annual TBBC Golf Classic volunteer on or off the golf course. We are always seeking new Committee Members to join our growing event.
- Biennial Fall Festival necessitates sighted guides for our patrons during the day’s event.
