Application for Service

Back to School

TBBC can take care of your back to school reading needs. TBBC has fiction and non-fiction books for research projects, assigned reading, and reading for fun; and we can send those audiobooks, Braille, and large print books to your home, your school, or both. Or, if you prefer using a tablet or smart phone to listen to books or read Braille, we can help you with that!

More information can be found at the Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) page.

BARD is provided by the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, Library of Congress. TBBC does not have textbooks.

Large Print Books

TBBC has the largest collection of large print books for children and teens in the state of New Jersey.  Our requirements for borrowing large print books have recently changed, making it even easier to get these books mailed to you at home or at school.  Please call or email us to sign up to borrow these books.

Find out more about our large print collection, including the books we have, at our Large Print Books page.

Finding Books at TBBC

Anyone can search the NLS Catalog online to find out what audiobooks and Braille books TBBC has.

Registered patrons can also visit our Patron Page to find and request audiobooks, Braille books, and large print books.  Patrons can access the Patron Page by clicking the link, selecting NJ1A – Trenton from the drop down menu, and then entering their patron ID and password. First time users must contact the library for their initial login ID and password by calling 800-792-8322 ext 0 or by email at tbbcyouth@njstatelib.org.

NLS produces several very helpful catalogs to let patrons know what books have been recently added for borrowing or for download from BARD. You can receive these catalogs by mail, they can be downloaded from BARD, or they can be found at these links:

Contact us if you want to get any of these catalogs mailed to you at home.
