Concessions and Agreements of the Proprietors of East Jersey

On February 10, 1664, the proprietors of East New Jersey signed a constitution, which they made public under the title of "The Concessions and agreement of the Lords Proprietors of the Province of New Cesarea or New Jersey, to and with all and every [of] the adventurers, and all such as shall settle or plant there."   1. Wee doe consent and agree...
  2. Which Assemblies are to have power...
  3. The Governor with his Councell...
  4. For the better security...
  5. And that the planting of the said Province...
  6. And that the lands may be more regularlie laid out...
