BARD Mobile App

NJ residents registered with the NJ State Library Talking Book and Braille Center (TBBC) can now enjoy downloaded audiobooks, audio magazines and Braille files on iPads, iPhones, Android, and Amazon Fire devices!

Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD), is provided by the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), Library of Congress.

You must be registered with TBBC and you must have an account with BARD.

You must be a member of our library and have a BARD account before you can use the BARD Mobile app.

  • To get a BARD account, call us at 800-792-8322 or email us at tbbc@njstatelib.org.
  • BARD Mobile will NOT operate on a laptop or desktop computer. BARD 2.0 Offers New Features for TBBC Patrons
  • Once the app is downloaded to your Apple, Android or Amazon Fire device, you will log in with your BARD username and password.

TBBC is open to walk-in visitors Monday through Friday 8:00, a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and State Holidays.
