As you will see below, it has been a busy conference season for NJSL staff. While it is rewarding to see so many colleagues from across the state and country, it is equally rewarding to have completed the events. We valued the time spent at the American Library Association Conference as a vendor. Not only did we have a chance to connect with counterparts from other states, we were delighted to see so many librarians from New Jersey.
We are excited about launching the first series of live Teaching Information Literacy online trainings this month. We’ll be offering additional sessions in the fall and spring, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to participate as the project moves forward. In this first session, we are hoping to learn what works and what does not for librarians of all types. Our partner in this project, LibraryLink NJ, will also be launching training modules this summer – please keep an eye out for announcements when modules are released.
Finally, we spent much of last year working on revisions to the New Jersey Administrative Code (15:21 and 15:22). We expect that the draft regulations will be published for public comment on August 3. Please take the time to review and provide feedback. Your voice is important.
