Adult Services

The Adult Services Specialist supports library initiatives based on NJSL priorities and community needs.

NJSL also works collaboratively with partners in New Jersey and nationally to leverage library resources and grow capacity for libraries to better serve their patrons.
Library Directors
NJSL offers comprehensive consulting services to empower library directors in effectively leading their institutions. Through specialized training, resources, and expert guidance, directors are equipped to navigate challenges and drive their libraries toward a successful future.
Library Trustees
NJSL offers dedicated consulting services to support library trustees in effectively governing their libraries. This resource hub provides guidance, training materials, and best practices tailored to help trustees fulfill their responsibilities with confidence.
Youth Services

Youth Services supports certified librarians and library staff who work with youth from ages 0 – 18.
The unit administers award programs, coordinates the annual Statewide Summer Reading Program, provides continuing education opportunities, and serves as a liaison to local, regional, and statewide organizations working with youth through collaborative partnerships.
Do you have a child or teen in New Jersey who has difficulty reading standard print because of blindness, a physical impairment, a reading disability or a vision impairment? Visit our Talking Book and Braille Center Children and Teen Services page.
